Question
Can I use any USB cable that has the appropriate connectors to charge and/or transfer data to or from my product?
Answer
It is always recommended to use the USB cable that was supplied with your unit.
Other cables that appear to be similar may not have;
- the necessary data wires,
- the correct wire size,
- and a suitable length.
Note: It is difficult to identify whether a USB cable has data wires. This is why we recommend to use the cable supplied with the unit. If for whatever reason you are using a different USB cable, and you are not getting the expected result with data transfer, the missing data wires may be the source of the problem.
