MAX-700B/C/D series, MAX-900 series, EXFO Exchange

You may be requested by EXFO technical support to provide the EXFO Exchange logs and files from your MAX optical tester to assist in the investigation of an issue you have observed while using the application.

Using the File Manager application which is accessible on the MAX optical tester desktop you will need to copy the following files and logs onto an inserted USB stick.

NOTE: Ensure your USB stick is using the following supported file systems: FAT, FAT32, and exFAT. The NTFS file system is not supported by the MAX Optical testers.

All the files in the FlowAutomation folder, this is located here /DATA/Metrino/FlowAutomation

Note: /DATA/Metrino is a hidden folder. So, the user may have to make it visible first by ensuring the File managers View > Folder Options menu selections are unselected as below:

All the log files in the \Temp\EXFO folder

There may be more than one log file in the folder, and it is better to copy the whole EXFO folder to the inserted USB stick.

Once you have saved the contents of the two folders to the USB stick you can transfer them to a computer so they can be sent to EXFO for analysis.
