EX1 - How to reset your device

Introduction

Below are the steps to reset your EX1 to factory default. Please note that this will erase all saved data, including test reports and configuration. Once the reset is completed, your device will need an active internet connection to complete any software updates.

Procedure to follow

The reset pin hole is in between the two interfaces (RJ45 and SFP) on the bottom of the device.

  1. Shut down your EX1
  2. Press and hold the reset pin hole button
  3. Press and hold the power button for 2-3 seconds
  4. Release power button
  5. Release pin hole button
  6. After 10 seconds, the power LED starts flashing (Amber) indicating the reset is in progress. Once the reset is complete, your EX1 device will reboot.
