What is the purpose of the recovery procedure for the MAX optical unit?

Answer

If you ever encounter unexpected behavior with your MaxTester Series unit, you can revert your unit to its initial state. The Recovery will;

  • Restore the unit to the last Software System Image that you have installed,
  • Delete all user data and clean up any damaged files, 
  • Reset all settings and personalization to factory defaults.

Procedure: You will find the procedure in this knowledge article. 

NOTE: If you have never updated your unit with a more recent Software System Image, the recovery procedure will revert to the initial factory-installed software.
