What is the setup to measure light at 1310 nm from a PPM-350D?
Answer
Using a launch cable, connect one of the connectors to the continuous wave light source. Connect the other connector to the ONT port of the PPM-350D.
Make sure that your layer is GPON for 1310 nm.
If the unit doesn't measure anything, it could be that your minimum power threshold is not low enough to measure it with the currently selected layer, you can see its current limits by tapping on the square where the numbers usually come up. It's also possible that your light source is not continuous and therefore limited power will be measured, compounding on the previous issue.
