How to create and push Jobs to PXM, using FastReporter3

Introduction

The PXM multi-fiber OLTS tester supports Job that allow the unit to work on pre-set test points. Jobs can be created and imported on the PXM using FastReporter3.
Doing so will require FastReporter3 version 3.16 or above and PXM software version 340.0 or above.


Both software can be found on EXFO's Software Download page.

Procedure to follow

Follow these instructions to create and import Jobs to the PXM:

1. Connect the PXM to the PC using a USB cable.

2. On the PXM, enable the "USB transfer mode". This will link the PXM to the PC.

3. Launch FastReporter3. Click the "Instrument" tab and click the "Push Job" button in the menu. This will connect to the PXM and open the "Push Jobs" menu.

4. In the "Push Jobs" menu, select "Create Job". Choose a name for the new Job, then click "Add Test Points".

5. New Test Points can now be added. Identifiers can be renamed or removed.

6. Once the Job is created, click "Push Job" to send the job to the PXM unit.

7. The PXM can now be disconnected from the PC.
Tabs "Jobs" to bring up the list of available Jobs. The new Job will now be available.
