Troubleshooting steps

Possible Cause 1: The Battery is discharged.

Proposed Solution:

  • Charge the battery by connecting to an external power supply using the appropriate AC/DC power adapter.
  • If the unit still does not turn on, press and hold down the power button for at least 12 seconds to force a hardware reset on the unit. Release the power button, and then restart your unit as usual.

Possible Cause 2: The unit's AC/DC adapter is not connected to an external power supply.

Proposed Solution:

  • Connect the unit to an external power supply using the appropriate AC/DC power adapter, ensuring the external power supply is switched on.
  • If the unit still does not turn on, press and hold down the power button for at least 12 seconds to force a hardware reset on the unit. Release the power button, and then restart your unit as usual.

Possible Cause 3: The  AC/DC adapter being used is faulty.

Proposed Solution:

  • Test with another AC/DC adapter of the same type.
  • Does the unit now turn on and charge the battery?

Possible Cause 4: The ambient temperature is too high or too low.

Proposed Solution:

  • Ensure that the temperature where you are charging the battery is within the specifications.
  • The battery will not recharge when the ambient temperature is below 5 ̊ Centigrade ( 41 ̊  Fahrenheit) or above 40 ̊ Centigrade (104  ̊   Fahrenheit).

Possible Cause 5: An incorrect AC/DC charger is being used.

Proposed Solution:

  • Ensure that you are using the AC/DC adapter which came with the unit. The plug is common, so double-check if there is any doubt.
  • Using an AC/DC adapter with the wrong voltage output for the unit will cause the battery indicator on the front of the unit to slowly blink red.
  • Using an AC/DC adapter with incorrect polarity may damage the charging circuit.

Possible Cause 6: The battery LED remains RED even though the unit has been charged.

Proposed Solution:

  • The battery level has not been refreshed correctly.  Press and hold down the power button for at least 12 seconds to force a hardware reset on the unit. Release the power button, and then restart your unit as usual.
  • The battery level should now be indicated correctly.

Possible Cause 7: The Battery is faulty or damaged.
