Introduction
How to perform a ping test on the MAX-Optical series to confirm wireless connectivity has been established.
Procedure to follow
- Enter the wireless diagnostics dialog:
Home screen > Configuration > Devices and Utilities > Wi-Fi Configuration > Advanced… (The connected network should be highlighted) > Diags (tab in utility dialog)
- Perform a ping to confirm connectivity.
You should see an IP address allocation under the profile name.
In the white box underneath that, if you click on it and enter 8.8.8.8 (Google DNS server IP address) or any other known accessible IP address followed by clicking the ‘Start Ping’ button, the MaxTester should be able to ping the IP address successfully.
You can end the ping by clicking the same button which will have changed to ‘Stop Ping’.
